This tour is ideal for people staying in Dar es Salaam. You will visit and explore the beauty of Southern Tanzania at the famous Mikumi National Park which is situated southwest of Dar es Salaam. It is a drive of 6 hours via the Mororgoro and Uluguru Mountains where you will already see animals before you reach the main entrance. On arrival, you will check in and proceed with animal viewing.
Meet and greet our professional tour guide for pick-up from the airport or hotel and proceed on the 5-hours drive to Mikumi National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch and proceed with a game drive till sunset.
Mikumi National Park is located in the southwest of Tanzania, 300km away from Dar es Salaam along the Morogoro road. After 6 hours of driving, you will cross the park premises where animals can be spotted along the road such as baboons, giraffes, elephants, zebras, lions, leopards and many birds
Dinner and overnight will be at Mikumi Cottages.
You will start an early morning game drive at around 6 am to see big cats in action as they are nocturnal animals. You will also see big herds of buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, elephants, prides of lions and many birds. After a drive of 2 to 3 hours, you will head back to the cottages for breakfast before you start your journey back to Dar es Salaam with an en-route lunch.
