Mount Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain at about 5,895 meters (19,340 feet) at the highest peak (Uhuru) above sea level. It is the largest free-standing mountain rise in the world, meaning it is not part of a mountain range
Despite being located near the equator where temperatures are high and snow falling is not typical, the mountain has large expanses of ice glaciers and attracts many visitors from all over the world.
There are several routes for climbing the majestic Kilimanjaro including Lemosho route, Marangu route, Machame route, Umbwe Route, Rongai Route and Northen Circuit route.
The mountain can be climbed the whole year with the best months being from December to early March, and from late June to October.
